riboflavin supplement

Vitamin

Riboflavin is the vitamin you can see — B2's yellow tints premixes and, in quantity, urine, which is the most harmless finding in nutrition.

Also appears on labels as: riboflavin · vitamin b2

What it is

Vitamin B2, cofactor of the flavoproteins running cellular energy transfer. Its signature is chromatic: riboflavin is intensely yellow — it colors vitamin premixes, fortified foods, and (after a B-rich meal or supplement) urine, a startling-looking non-event.

Why it's in pet food

Premix completeness. Natural sources (organ meats, dairy) carry it; supplementation guarantees it through processing and shelf life.

How Bowlmark scores it

Scores are deterministic math over the printed label — the rules below apply to every product identically, and nothing estimates or fills in a blank.

Neutral. The fluorescent-urine reassurance is this page's public service: water-soluble vitamins in excess leave visibly and harmlessly, which is the entire B-complex safety story told in one yellow sentence.
